Two Former IvI PhD students win Best PhD thesis prizes

Last May two annual ASCI conferences were held: CompSys 2025 and NCCV 2025. In both a jury selects the best PhD thesis of the past year (2024) and in both cases two UvA-IvI theses won first prize.

At CompSys: Dr Stijn Heldens, MultiScale Networked Systems (MNS) group, promotor Rob van Nieuwpoort.
At NCCV: Dr Sarah Ibrahimi, Multimedia Analytics Lab (MultiX), promotores Marcel Worring and Zeno Geradts.
