On the one hand, search enhines on the web provide a world of information at our fingertips. On the other hand, many of our information seeking tasks are complex and multifaceted. Hugo Huurdeman investigates the way in which current search approaches support complex information-intensive tasks that involve web content, and how we can support the complex dynamics of the information seeking process. He also analyses and evaluates search access to web archives in the context of research, and proposes new approaches for search support in a research context.
