Best student paper for Mohammad Shafahi
At the BIOINFORMATICS 2016 conference (21-23 February) in Rome, Mohammad Shafahi from the Federated Collaborative Networks group won the prize for the best student paper.
The paper introduces BioMed Xplorer, presenting a model and a tool to facilitate researchers with exploring biomedical knowledge that are dynamically gathered and integrated from a multitude of data sources, preserving their provenance. The data are organized in an information graph, which is now retrievable through a user friendly and intuitive interface.
