Software Engineering Distinguished Service Award for Paul Klint

Paul Klint, emeritus professor Software Engineering at the University of Amsterdam and Research fellow at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), is awarded the 2015 IEEE TCSE Software Engineering Distinguished Service Award.

The award is presented annually to individual researches for their contributions. The Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology. TCSE is the Technical Committee that oversees research and development in Software Engineering.

The Awards Committee praised the impact of Klint’s works both on research and education in software engineering and on the software industry in general. The central theme in his research is understanding existing software and developing tools for the systematic analysis, construction and improvement of software.
