The master programme Grid Computing will from now on continue as the Master Computational Science. Since September of last year, the programme has become a joined programme of the UvA and the Free University. The curriculum of the programme has improved and offers a varied programme in the field of Computational Science on both universities. The name change is recently officially implemented.

The program director of Computational Science, Jaap Kaandorp, said: "We have chosen the name change to make clear that Computational Science focuses on the modeling and simulation of complex systems of processes in nature and society. This was previously less visible. "
